Christopher J. Langpaul graduated summa cum laude from Drake University in 2004 with a B.A. in Business Management. He continued at Drake to pursue a joint degree through the Drake Law School and the Drake University College of Business and Public Administration. In 2007, he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence with highest honors from Drake Law School and his Masters in Business Administration through the Drake College of Business. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa.

Prior to joining LaMarca & Landry, Mr. Langpaul clerked for the general counsel to a real estate developer. He also worked for an ethanol production company and a renewable fuels development company.

Mr. Langpaul is part of the LaMarca & Landry, P.C. Business Practice Group, and splits his time equally between business litigation and transactional work. He practices primarily in the areas of business law, real estate law, construction law and civil litigation. Mr. Langpaul also holds an active real estate salesperson’s license in the State of Iowa.

In the fall of 2010, Mr. Langpaul was selected by Drake University to teach Business Law I as an adjunct professor. This class covers multiple areas of the law that impact the operation of a business, including torts, contracts and the UCC. It is taken primarily by second and third year students in the undergraduate College of Business at Drake.

Mr. Langpaul was one of thirty-three local business and professional leaders to be inducted into the 2010 Class of the West Des Moines Leadership Academy. The West Des Moines Chamber Leadership Academy is an intensive, year-long, regionally-oriented leadership development program designed to give potential and emerging business and professional leaders the skills, knowledge, and ongoing support they need to succeed in the West Des Moines community. It is designed for outstanding individuals who desire to sharpen their leadership skills and gain a greater understanding of the region’s economy and community networks. Mr. Langpaul currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Leadership Academy.

Mr. Langpaul is an active member of Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, where he has served as a small group leader and volunteer for junior high students in the confirmation program for the previous eight years. He has also previously lead small groups for the Alpha program at Hope. In his spare time, Mr. Langpaul enjoys running, biking, boating and travelling.
