Teen killed in Iowa car accident

A 15-year-old passenger in a vehicle was killed in a two-car crash near Clarion on June 2. The accident occurred at an intersection of two gravel roads.

The teen was the passenger in a Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a 16-year-old as they were traveling northbound and they struck a vehicle traveling westbound. The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both the 16-year-old driver and the driver of the other vehicle were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The 16-year-old was later released from the hospital.

Car crashes can happen suddenly and can cause serious injury or worse. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim.
