Driver charged with vehicular manslaughter after crash
The driver involved in a crash that killed a Cedar Rapids teenager has had criminal charges filed against him.
The 17-year-old driver was charged with two-counts of vehicular homicide after the fatal crash that occurred on Nov. 8. One count alleges that the teen unintentionally killed the teen by driving under the influence and the other count states that he caused the fatal accident by driving recklessly.
A hearing for the teen was scheduled for Dec.9, but information about this was not released. Also, few details about what factors lead to the crash have been discovered.
