Bad driving conditions send three to hospital in Iowa

On Saturday night in Auburn, Iowa a car accident took place which resulted in three people sustaining injuries.

The poor driving conditions, including ice and snow, caused a 27-year-old Carroll man to lose control of his truck. The truck crossed over the center lane and struck another car. There were two people in the second car, a 46-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy.

The jaws of life had to be used to extract the 46-year-old man from his vehicle and once he was removed he was transported by helicopter to a Des Moines hospital. The 13-year-old and the 27-year-old were treated for minor injuries.
