Mom and 3 kids survive rollover accident

A mother and her three kids were fortunate to survive a rollover accident caused by icy roads on March 10.

Reports from the Clive Police Department said a woman was driving on cruise control mode with her three kids on Interstate-80, westbound near exit 72 around 5 p.m. when their vehicle lost control and rolled over several times. The vehicle reportedly drove into a ditch after hydroplaning; however, the family was able to walk away uninjured, police said. As a result of the accident, the Clive Police advised motorists to not use cruise control during snow or rainy weather.

Fortunately, this family was unharmed despite the inclement weather and the rollover accident; however, many other people are not as lucky and sustain serious injuries and physical harm as a result of car accidents caused by other people’s negligence.
