Powell resident who confessed on YouTube pleads guilty to DUI

The Powell resident who took responsibility for a fatal car accident that occurred months ago by uploading a video clip on YouTube pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and DUI on Wednesday, September 18.

Matthew Cordle is now facing 2 to 8 ½ years of imprisonment for accidentally killing Vincent Canzani in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 670 June 22 due to drunk driving. In a hearing at Franklin County Court, 22-year-old Cordle answered “Yes, your honor” to all the questions the judge asked him.

Just weeks ago, Cordle uploaded a video clip that went viral on YouTube, confessing that he accidentally killed Canzani due to drunk driving.
