Police car strikes bicyclist in Davenport

A bicycle rider was recently injured after he was struck by a police vehicle in Davenport area, an article on kwqc.com reported September 30.

On Monday, September 29 a man riding a motor-propelled bicycle was reportedly struck by an eastbound unmarked police car at the intersection of Main and 5th Street. The male bicyclist, whose identity was not released, suffered injuries and was later taken to the hospital. The officer involved in the collision was also not identified in the report. The Iowa State Patrol conducts an investigation into all road accidents involving a police officer.
