Intoxicated driver apprehended for pedestrian crash

Des Moines Police recently apprehended a male driver after injuring a woman in an accident where a parked vehicle and a nightclub were also damaged, a March 15 article of The Des Moines Register stated.

Reports coming from authorities revealed that a witness saw a vehicle operated by a man, 36, speeding around 10:00 p.m. on the southern portion of Southwest Seventh Street. His vehicle reportedly struck a parked vehicle, which, in turn, struck an unidentified woman. The “View Nightclub” also was damaged in the incident. However, the man in question maintains that he was not speeding and just lost control after a vehicle cut him off.
