Suspected drunk driver involved in fatal crash busted again in Iowa

A driver awaiting trial in connection to a November drunk driving accident that killed two people in Des Moines was recently apprehended for an OWI, a June 17 article of Radio Iowa stated.

A sheriff in Lucas County told reports that a 53-year-old woman on Friday, June 10 was apprehended by deputies in a traffic stop in Chariton. Authorities administered the Des Moines woman a preliminary breath test and discovered that her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was 0.112 percent. The same apprehended woman is facing charges due to her involvement in a November 17 crash that killed a 59-year-old man and a 60-year-old man. The woman was believed to be driving while under the influence of intoxicants when that accident took place as well. The arrested woman is scheduled for a court hearing on September 12.
