Three hospitalized in Indianola mishap involving a semi and a school bus

At least three persons, two of which were students, were hospitalized due to injuries they sustained in a recent accident in Indianola involving a school bus and a semi truck hauling chemical, an article in the Des Moines Register reported on September 2.

Reports said at around 4:00 p.m. on September 1, a westbound semi truck hauling calcium chloride struck the side of a northbound school bus at the intersection of Highway 92 and 90th Avenue. Information coming from the Warren County Sheriff’s Department revealed that the collision happened after the bus left a stop sign before the roadway was clear. The two students and the bus driver sustained minor injuries resulting in their transport to a hospital. The semi truck driver, though injured, did not seek hospitalization. All the identities of the persons involved in the crash were withheld by authorities.
