Iowa biker injured in vehicular accident

One person suffered injuries while another was cited in Cedar Falls, Iowa following a vehicular accident that involved a bicycle, a September 21 article published by kwwl.com reported.

Reports said a female riding her bicycle on September 20 was struck by a vehicle on the crossway of 18th Street and Hudson. The student recounted that what had happened to her was like anyone “would see in the movies.” The biker fell on the vehicle’s hood after the driver struck her. Though she escaped serious injuries, her doctors momentarily prevented her from doing her athletic activities as she had suffered a head injury and bruises to several parts of her body. The driver who caused the collision was identified as an 89-year-old woman and authorities cited her for failing to yield.
