A witness who saw the crash said it would be a miracle if the person driving the car survived after seeing how the car went almost underneath the ambulance. According to police who responded to the scene, the accident occurred on Kimberly Road at around 7 a.m. when a car slammed into an ambulance after it crossed the center lane.

The unidentified driver of the car later died after he was brought to the hospital by responding paramedics. The ambulance which contained two medics and a patient was not hurt in the accident.

Kimberly Road was temporarily closed while authorities investigated the accident scene.

Reports from the Iowa State Patrol show that 46-year-old Jeffrey Bertucci struck the passenger side of a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Wilbur Bigler, who was then heading southbound on Highway 1 near 120^th Street at around 9 p.m. Bigler and one of Bertucci’s passengers, identified as Madison Hubert, 18, died after sustaining critical injuries from the crash. Other passengers inside Bertucci’s vehicle were brought to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

The Iowa State Patrol said the fatal accident is still being investigated.

Reports from the Clive Police Department said a woman was driving on cruise control mode with her three kids on Interstate-80, westbound near exit 72 around 5 p.m. when their vehicle lost control and rolled over several times. Reports from the Iowa State Patrol stated that a car was heading north on U.S. 61, south of Muscatine, when it lost control on the icy road and crossed the center line, causing it to slam head-on with an oncoming school bus. All three people in the car, Katherine Newton, Barbara Higgs, and Mark Kaltefleiter, instantly died in the crash. Te bus driver, who survived, was brought to Trinity Hospital in Muscatine.

Louisa-Muscatine School superintendent Mike Van Sickle said he was relieved when he learned that there were no students in the school bus when the crash happened, but was thinking of the bus driver and those related to the people in the other vehicle.

Iowa State Patrol Authorities identified the deceased as Jacquelle McDonald of Chicago. The report showed McDonald was not wearing a seatbelt when the vehicle’s driver lost control and hit the median after the vehicle rolled several times. Des Moines police responded to an accident report around 7 a.m. on Monday, and found a vehicle near the north entrance to the Water Works Park, partly submerged in the water. Police pronounced a 23-year-old man dead at the scene, and a 28-year-old Des Moines man was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

According to police, the car accident had no witnesses, but it seemed as if the driver had lost control of his vehicle while attempting to turn on a road near the park. The vehicle collided with a cement structure, causing it to plummet into the water.

The 34-year-old pedestrian, who was a resident of North Chicago, was standing outside of his Ford F-350 on the westbound side of Interstate 80 when the semi truck hit both him and his vehicle. The truck driver fled, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A report of the pedestrian accident was received around 3:25 a.m. this morning. No information regarding the description of the semi truck is known at this time.

The accident, which took place on Saturday, was caused by a 15-year-old driver who crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a motor vehicle with a 16-year-old driver behind the wheel. The 15-year-old had four teenage passengers, and all six of the teenagers involved in the accident received injuries.

The County Sheriff stated that a large amount of dust on the road was the reason behind the collision. However, the 15-year-old driver was only driving with a learner’s permit and therefore was charged with a violation of a restricted license.
