Man killed in Des Moines motorcycle accident
A 54-year-old man of Des Moines Iowa was killed in a motorcycle accident after he was thrown from the bike and hit a semi-trailer.
The crash left Highway 35 southbound closed near the Grand Avenue exit for nearly three hours. A group of 18 motorcyclists were entering the on ramp when one man hit another vehicle on the roadway causing him to suffer broken bones in his legs.
The 52-year-old man then tried to avoid the collision by overturning his motorcycle on its side, but he was thrown from the motorcycle and hit by a semi.
