Teenager charged in hit-and-run accident
A 15-year-old Cedar Falls boy has been charged after being involved in a hit-and-run accident that injured one woman.
The accident occurred as a 72-year-old woman was struck by the car driven by the 15-year-old boy as she crossed 27th Street. The teen later came and told police that he thought he was the one that struck the woman.
The teen told police that he was driving and heard a “thud” but he kept driving because he was not sure what happened. The teen has been charged with an aggravated misdemeanor, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
