4 traffic fatalities occur in Iowa over the weekend
Over the weekend, four fatalities took place due to traffic accidents throughout the state of Iowa.
An elderly couple in Boone were killed in a car accident on U.S. 30 when the driver of their vehicle, the couple’s 15-year-old grandson, came in contact with a limo on the highway. The 80-year-old man was ejected from the vehicle. Both him and his wife were pronounced dead at the scene. A person inside the limo was taken to a nearby hospital, and is currently in critical condition.
Two people lost their lives in separate single-vehicle accidents. In both of the accidents, the drivers lost control of their vehicles. The Iowa Department of Transportation revealed that, as of Friday, there have been 161 traffic fatalities in Iowa.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the traffic accident victims’ families and friends.
