Drunk driver sentenced to 32 years in prison
Bryan Cornwell, 22, was sentenced to 32 years in prison for causing a motorcycle accident in 2013 that killed one person and injured another.
Cornwell plead guilty to vehicular homicide for the June 2013 accident that killed Katlyn Leekly, 20, and injured her boyfriend Derek Martie, 24. Cornwell was driving drunk when his pickup struck Martie’s motorcycle.
After hitting the motorcycle, Cornwell fled the scene of the crime. The sentencing indicated that Cornwell will be eligible for parole after 7 years of imprisonment.
