Driver seriously hurt in Dubuque accident
A man operating a pickup truck recently sustained serious injuries after he got involved in a two-vehicle accident in Dubuque, Iowa, thonline.com reported on September 18.
Reports said the accident occurred at the vicinity of Prescott Elementary School on September 17. The pickup driver, identified as a 63-year-old man, was headed west on 11th Street when he was broadsided by a tow truck coming from White Street. The accident reportedly occurred after the tow truck ran a red light. The pickup driver, who was trapped inside his vehicle, was airlifted to a hospital in Iowa City for injuries he sustained that were considered to be incapacitating. The tow truck operator, on the other hand, was cited for a traffic-related violation.
